How do your floors hold up to dogs n cats?
I have carpet and linoleum right now. One day it will be tile and hardwood or laminate but I want people’s opinions and experience with animals on these floors to get an idea of what not to get! I have 2 big inside ktties and 2 inside/outside Siberian Huskies. They like to drip water out of the water bowl everywhere and chase each other…… Thanks 
When we went to replace carpeting, we discovered all hardwood flooring. We paid and had them sanded and resurfaced. They are gorgeous! Had an Airedale and a cat (back claws only) running around on it for about five years, and the results are small scratches that we can see in the clear lacquer on the top surface– especially at the bottom of the stairs where my cat rounds the corner at warp speed.
Our Airedale just passed away a few months ago, and we now have a Jack Russell Terrier. So far, we haven’t noticed any increase in scratches– even when he gets the puppy zoomies!
In my opinion, the cats are harder on the hardwood than the dogs.
