please help find the theme. What is the theme of this poem? thank you?
Do I love her? Rather more to the point, What do I love? Her eyes the two windows to her soul? Squinty they are and with eye shadow, appear as two holes. Her ears in which harmony rests are as thin as silk and like chinese kites, gather wind. Her glossed lips, as shapely as carved fruit, do shine like waxed apples sprung from cold storage to grocery bin. I love to hear her speak yet well I know That parrots have a far more pleasant sound: I grant I never saw a goddess go, But in Doc Martens, my girl stomps the ground. And yet by heaven, I think my love as rare. As any to whom I dare Compare.
The theme of the poem is modern love borrowing from a mishmash of older works, the parrot and Doc Martens a good touch.
