How do you match up the seams between 2 pieces of wood?
I bought rosewood veneer for my guitar back and i want the seams between to disappear. Whats the best way to fill it in? Its close already and i taped the pieces together to match up the wood grain

veneer is usually sold in lots that are cut from the same tree. This will create something called a book-match when you place two pieces of veneer together and them fold them out like book pages. The grain should be the same, and appear to originate from the seam on the line. The trick is to get the edges razor-straight so that the seam all but disappears. With the grain running the same, they don’t interrupt the flow and seem to be one piece. Book-matching would apply only if you bought the veneer in a packet that was originally bundled. Check your pieces and see if any match as I explained.
