Crochet Pattern Help?
Pattern from redheart.com for Autumn Log Cabin Throw. I can’t seem to get stitches correct for Rnd 2 on Motif. Since I can’t get Rnd 2 correct, Rnd 3 doesn’t come out correct either. Please help!
MOTIF (Make 36)
Section 1: With A, ch 2.
Rnd 1 (Right Side): 8 Sc in 2nd ch from hook; join with a
slip st in first sc; TURN.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in next sc; * yo and draw up a loop in next
sc, yo and draw through 1 loop on hook, [yo and draw
through 2 loops] twice – long-dc made; (sc, long-dc) all in
same place where first long-dc was made, sc in next sc;
repeat from * twice more; (long-dc, sc, long-dc) all in last
sc; join in first sc; turn.
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in first st, 3 hdc in next st for corner, [sc
in next 3 sts, 3 hdc in next st] 3 times, sc in last 2 sts; join.
Fasten off.
You didn’t explain where you were off and I just worked the pattern and it worked just fine so let’s do this step by step.
Rnd 2: Ch 1
1st Sc of previous round: sc
2nd Sc of previous round:* yo and draw up a loop, yo and draw through 1 loop on hook, yo over and draw through 2 more loops on hook, yo over and draw through last 2 loops on the hook * (these are the directions for the long dc); sc and make another long dc ALL IN THE SAME SC
3rd Sc of previous round: sc
4th Sc of previous round: Repeat as for 2nd Sc
5th Sc of previous round: sc
6th Sc of previous round: Repeat as for 2nd Sc
7th Sc of previous round: sc
8th Sc of previous round: Long Dc, Sc, Long Sc ALL IN THE SAME SC
Slip stitch in first sc, turn
