It’s more about the shape of the glasses rather than the style of lens. I guess if I had to pick between tinted or mirrored, I’d pick tinted because mirrors on anything (as in, interior design) will give the illusion of more height, or in your case, width; not good if you have a big head.
Avoid glasses whose lens part is too small–it’ll look out of proportion to your face and make your head look bigger. I’d suggest buying a slightly oversize pair of glasses–your head will look smaller by comparison.
